This episode is the one before the one. Just Jen and Rachel, a charcuterie board from Aldi, and nearly a full season of memories to look back on. Fresh off the Riverfest Main Stage, with an anniversary party on the horizon and one more episode to go in Season 1 β€” this is their moment to pause, pour a glass, and say long live all of it.

Trend Decoder is back, Rachel pulls off a perfect score (including a dramatic live count of her 36 Amazon lists), and Hits Different lands with a little more emotion than either of them expected. Spoiler: there were tears.

πŸ” TREND DECODER

Trend 1: "Don't Touch It"

The trend where you act out something you love a little too much but probably shouldn't be doing. Rachel's guesses include cactus handling, workplace hot potatoes, and the eternal temptation of a late-night Snapchat from someone you really shouldn't open. She gets there. Jen's version: Sephora online shopping. Rachel's version: 36 Amazon lists. She counted them live.

Trend 2: "I Want the Best for You"

A soft sell trend β€” reaching out to someone with something genuinely good to offer, making it dramatic and relatable. Rachel connects it to Prime Day, real kindness, and wanting good things for people even when it's complicated. The STH version: calling every listener personally to tell them about the July 12th anniversary party, the 15% off merch code STHANNIVERSARY, and the specialty cocktail menu at Bubbles. We just want what's best for you.

Rachel goes out on top with a perfect score. Season 1 Trend Decoder: complete.

πŸŽ‰ LOOKING BACK ON SEASON 1

A full roll call of the people, places, and moments that built Season 1:

β€’ Jenny from Her Edit Candles β€” the first guest, the first vibe-setter, and the person who accidentally opened every door that followed.

β€’ Kristin Beal from Harvester Arts β€” still the most downloaded episode of all time. She started with a parade and built something extraordinary.

β€’ Stacy Ward Lattin from Hopping Gnome β€” a holiday pop-up that became a full crew outing. The Christmas setup was stunning. Deck the gnomes.

β€’ Tracy Hoover from Groover Labs β€” a startup queen with a fascinating story. The episode ran long and nobody minded.

β€’ Kaia and Bella from Roaming Spirits β€” tequila in an espresso martini, homemade syrups, and a content day that is absolutely still happening.

β€’ Brent and Annika from Ballet Wichita β€” what started as a guest episode became a whole community. Ballet Wichita is basically a second home now.

β€’ Kari from Happy Camper Hat Company β€” an interactive episode, a Chiefs hat, and lake day content that is already planned in Jen's head.

β€’ Jovana Vu from Vu Events β€” where Episode 1 began, and where Season 1's sponsorship lives. Thank you, Jovana. Thank you, Tony. Full circle.

β€’ Ghost Girl from Oddfellow β€” relatably vulnerable, creatively inspiring. They're putting a bat signal in the sky.

β€’ Jamie Seipel from Blood Cancer United & Home2 Suites β€” an absolute queen with a mission and an event calendar that never stops. The FOMO was real.

β€’ Jennifer Short from Colour Thairapy & Sovereign Inhale β€” the hair is still falling perfectly. The breathwork conversation was unforgettable.

β€’ Krissy Buck from Digital Wichita / WSU Tech β€” the woman behind Mission Control Digital Day 2026 (June 18–19, AI-focused, space themed). Jen is Vice Chair. It's a whole thing.

And to the Sip Squad β€” the community that brought back Trend Decoder, sends coffee recs, and showed up for every episode. You made it possible to stand on a stage at Riverfest. You are the kingdom.

---

🎢 HITS DIFFERENT: "Long Live" β€” Taylor Swift (Speak Now, Taylor's Version)

Rachel's first listen: warm, nostalgic, no hard feelings. A song about cherishing the feeling of a moment even after the moment is over β€” and still wanting the best for the people you shared it with. Even the ones where it's complicated.

Jen's take: this is a love song to Taylor's fans. Written after her very first stadium performance β€” her second album, before she knew what was coming. The lyric that gets Jen every time: "Point at the pictures, tell them my name." Though she said β€” she won't have to point at pictures of Rachel. Her kids already know who Rachel is.

Why this song, why this episode: for the Sip Squad. For the community that has been here from the beginning, sent ideas, left reviews, and made Riverfest happen. You're the kingdom. Long live all of it. Long live So This Happened. πŸ₯‚

SPEAKER_00

So here we are, guys. Yay! Cheers! Cheers! Episode 49! Episode 49!

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh, we're in we're nearing the end of season one. Very, very close to the end of season one. How about that? That's such a landmark. It really is. We have a lot to look back on tonight. But before we dive too far into that, we have to say that our podcast is proudly sponsored by our friends at Vue Events, the idea machines. We love them so much, Giovanna. You and your team absolutely rock. And also, by the way, an additional thank you to DJ Panda for hyping us up at River.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Incredible. Thank you so much. You were a lovely addition. You really helped hype up the mood. You helped set everything up. We love your insights on all of the tech details. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh. I feel like we got a hell of a lesson. Yeah. And we have a lot more to learn.

SPEAKER_00

And also, shout out to his network that he works with too. Yes. Incredible. Coming in clutch with everything in the background.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, we had some excitement around our Riverfest setup. I totally forgot about it.

SPEAKER_00

That's like one of those yes but uh trends that I had to be that I had to learn. I think that like one or two times ago. The yes but. The yes but indeed. Yes, we did record at Riverfest, but you don't know what actually went down and what work went into it by our lovely team and our lovely sponsors and everybody behind the scenes that really helps us shine. So thank you so much, you guys. We really, really love and appreciate you. Thanks for making us shine. And I'm sure all of our listeners do too. So it's it's not just us, it's all of the people that enjoy this podcast. So our Sip Squad. Yes, our Sip Squad. Thank you so much for being part of it. Supporting it. How amazing. I know. 49 episodes. 49 episodes. So this is happening. I'm Rachel.

SPEAKER_01

I'm Jen. We're happy to be here. We have a lot to go over tonight. So it's just the two of us, and this will be the last time it'll be just the two of us for season one because next week we have a guest, and we'll get into that later. Yeah. Obviously, we just came off of Riverfest's main stage. We have an anniversary party coming up. July 12th from 2 to 4 at Bubbles. So save the date if you didn't already know. We're gonna be we're gonna be celebrating season one with past guests, with our listeners, with you know, our lovely sponsors, and of course, ourselves, friends, and our family. And so I hope that you all will join us for that. Tonight is a moment to look back. We have an entire 48 other seasons to reminisce episodes. Episodes, not seasons, episodes. Hey, we have things to strive for now. I was like, oh shit. Episodes.

SPEAKER_00

How long have we been here?

SPEAKER_01

50 years. Full school, and 50 years ago I sat on this podcast. You betcha. 48 episodes to look back on. Lots of memories, lots of places we've been, lots of people we've talked to, and a lot of listeners that we've gained along the way, all that we're very grateful for. Of course, we're going to have our hits different segments. I feel like we picked a pretty perfect song for tonight. Long live from Taylor's Speak Now album. It's good. It's so good.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I'm not giving away anything until we hit go there.

SPEAKER_01

Um, you know, but first, before we get too far into the weeds, we have to go into the trend decoder.

SPEAKER_00

Different weeds, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Are you ready? I'm trying. Okay, well, while you get ready, I have a couple more things to mention. So, our anniversary party is coming up July 12th from 2 to 4 at Bubbles. It's called Uncorked, Unhinged, and Bubbling Over. And because of that, our Uncorked and Slightly Unhinged line of t-shirts, sweatshirts, crew necks, tank tops, they're all 15% off right now when you use the code STH and Anniversary. So go scoop those up so that when you come to Uncorked, Unhinged, and Slightly Bubbling Over, you will be dressed, you know. Dress the vibe. Yes, dress for the vibe. And you know what? Even if you're not dressed for the vibe, we still want to see you because we love you. Yes. So there is that. We're really excited for our anniversary coming up. The marketing has been wild because it's been done in a hurry, but the date is of get again July 12th. July July 12th from 2 to 4.

SPEAKER_00

Not June. July. July 12th. I think I rubbed off my mistake onto you. My brain has been just like pounding things up.

SPEAKER_01

I just I think you know, a lot has been going on. A lot has been going on. So the marketing for this event has gotten a little wonky, but it will be July 12th. July 12th. From 2 to 4. 2 to 4. At Bubbles. Yes. Sponsored by Vue Events. Yes. With venue sponsor, obviously Bubbles. Because we love you. Yes. Okay, now do you feel like you're ready for Trend Decoder? I better be. You better be because it is time to do it. Okay. So the fun part about Trend Decoder is I'm a lot more online than Rachel is. And because of the nature of my job as a social media manager, I'm a lot more in tune to current trends than Rachel is. So it's a lot of fun to talk about these trends and have her guess what they might have might be about with only her knowing the title of them. Yeah, it's interesting to see what the world is doing out there. All right. It's always an interesting spiral. We like to let her cook. Sometimes. So the first one, speaking of sizzle, is called Don't Touch It. These could be so bad. I know. That's the fun of it, right?

SPEAKER_00

Don't touch it.

SPEAKER_01

Don't touch it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, I want to touch it. I feel like that.

SPEAKER_01

I bet you do.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like that's like okay, Jen. Geez. Shut okay. Like you, I feel like, okay, my first instinct obviously is to touch it. Well. So I feel like it's like someone like taking a video of a cat. Just to be like, don't touch it, it's sharp. But I'm like, ooh, I want to touch it. How sharp is it? I feel like that's gotta be it. It's not. Oh no. Or like, oh, if there's like I got really gross pimple, and like, no, like there's that kind of set of people that wants to touch it and like deal with it, and there's that set that's just like, oh hell no. You know, and I'm like, give me my goggles. I'm in there. That's not it. No, okay.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I guess the cactus is close in a way, but it's just not exactly what we're talking about here. Is it a living thing? No. No.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, don't see my brain's going work mode. Okay. This could get interesting. So let's say, let's say somebody that is not involved in a company that you work with at all, but that might potentially have the you know, might be in the future, given whatever's gonna happen. But they send you a message asking or saying something, and you just go, I don't know how to respond to that. Don't touch it. Okay, okay. Or to HR.

SPEAKER_01

Whatever you do.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I'm not gonna touch that. That's a hot potato. Hot potato, hot potato. I'm not even gonna catch that hot potato. I'm gonna just like blow it to the next person that needs to handle that situation. I feel like that's kind of what it's gotta be. Don't touch it. Don't touch it. Don't touch it, don't respond to it. Another thing that I'm thinking would be maybe like, oh, ooh, you get a text at like later than 10 p.m. from someone you haven't talked to in a long time. That's probably like someone that's been in your messages before that you used to message back, but now he got a message from them after months and months, maybe even years. Or a Snapchat. Oh, a Snapchat. Because they could see if you opened it. Don't touch it, don't touch it, don't touch it, don't open that. So do you want to touch it or do you not want to touch it? That's the that is the beauty of being a human, isn't it? It's like, well, I could. Well, I should. And unfortunately for me personally, I'm a person that does not like notifications being bubbled up. So I have to, even if I don't want to, just at least click it. It's if you replay it, that's when you're in trouble.

SPEAKER_01

It's if you replay it, that's when you're in trouble. Oh, they know. Because they'll know.

SPEAKER_00

I think but I think I don't know where else to go with this gym.

SPEAKER_01

Honestly, I think that's a pretty great example of it, honestly.

SPEAKER_00

I think you nailed it there. With the X thing, yeah. If it's an X or just no person, or just oh, or just someone sending you a Samsy message that's like really like gaslighty or something, and you're just like, I did what I could do. I'm not gonna touch it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Done. Yeah. You I I think you I think you're gonna get the two points for this one. Okay, which I think is also maybe a first time. Wow. The trend, so this is a trend where you act out something you're not supposed to be doing, usually something you love a little too much. Okay. So you definitely shouldn't be opening that text, but the keys. Or that Snapchat. Do you? But also and then do and hit the replay.

SPEAKER_00

Ah, I definitely want to at least see it once just to know what the hell's going on in their mind. And then I'll be like, you're an idiot still. Check. Oh my gosh. Okay. What were what are some examples you could give me of that trend that you've seen? Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Like, because I know I always go with the I feel like work situation, stupid ex situation or ex-friend situation, or like just like a gross situation, or for mine, it would be definitely Sephora shopping online. What do you mean? Like adding more and more to my cart. Like, oh, don't touch it.

SPEAKER_00

Don't touch it. Oh, is that why my wish list is so long on every single list? Do you know how many categories of lists I have on Amazon? We should count.

SPEAKER_01

See, I this is why you need a storefront. This is why you need to apply for the Amazon influencer program.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I don't feel like I can speak for them unless I've actually ordered them. That's the thing. I haven't ordered all of these things. But if you ordered a lot of things on Amazon, then you should definitely. If Amazon is the sole reason that my household has a recycling bin.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so then you should definitely have a storefront. Let me just look at my lists. I'm sorry. All you have to do is apply.

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

I am not a spokesperson for Amazon, but I do have a storefront. And I will tell you it is kind of.

SPEAKER_00

Do we have a storefront? I thought we're gonna open one. We do not. We're gonna open one soon. I just have to count these really quick, you guys. Just to just to see. How do I view all my lists? Don't touch it. I need to just I'm not gonna add it. Okay, touch it. Lists and registries. I have one, oh, see all. That's it. See all. One, two, three. Wait, that doesn't count. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, three, seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one, thirty-two, thirty-three, thirty-four, thirty-five, thirty-six Amazon lists.

SPEAKER_01

Almost as many episodes as we have in season one.

SPEAKER_00

I have thirty-six lists on my Amazon list.

SPEAKER_01

Well, well, well. What is the limit? We will find out. The world may never know. We'll check in this time next year and see how many more categories she has.

SPEAKER_00

So, anyways, I don't touch it, I just add it to my list. I don't let my card touch it. I just add it to my list. Sorry, next.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, you're ready for the second trend.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, I'm ready.

SPEAKER_01

Cheers. That went pretty well. This next one is called I Want the Best for You.

SPEAKER_00

If this is being genuine, I like it and it kind of aligns with the song I heard earlier today. But maybe a little relationship. My first thought was that you know when you just are never gonna be a rude person, because I always choose to live my life of kindness, even if someone is absolutely nasty. Yeah, as you should. You know, and you say, I hope you have the day you deserve. Yes, I love that line. Or I hope you get what you deserve. Sweetheart. I hope that everything. I hope you get everything and more. And bless your heart. I feel like it's a little like backhanded. Not this trend. It's not okay. Because I'm like, this could go so many ways. So I hope you get what you deserve, is what it's nope.

SPEAKER_01

I I want the best for you. Oh, whoops. Sorry.

SPEAKER_00

We went down a little rabbit. Where's my mind going? Am I the best for you? I want the best for you. Okay. Well, honestly, last month there was a lot of graduations, there's a lot of changes in life. There's a lot of like babies being born, or at least like in our life. In like the womb. So I feel like that could be it. That's not it.

SPEAKER_01

I just say titles. Sorry, one more, one more time. I want the best for y'all.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like how you're saying it might have something to do with it. And I can't quite tell, can I? In it? That's fair. In it? In it? In the thing. That's what you do. I'm like, wait, what's the spelling? Alleluia. She goes into the show. Hallelujah. Oh my gosh. Okay. In it. I feel like this is like what Amazon says to me. I want the best for you. Here, look at these deals. Or I want the best for you. Here's your prime days. Order. You were just so warm.

SPEAKER_01

I actually think you got there.

SPEAKER_00

Already had priced this price, but I'm telling you, it's Amazon Day, so I'm putting it down. It's prime days, isn't it? Like 124. Oh, that's still forever away. Guys, look at look at your stuff now. And look at the plan. Look at the price. And I want you to compare that to whatever their Amazon Day deal prices on the day. And I want you to see how markups work. Okay. I'm sorry. I love this.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, I got off trail. It's funny because you Is this what it is? You're getting a perfect score tonight.

unknown

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Here's the trend. Yeah. The trend is where you're reaching out to someone with a soft sell. Like you're on the phone with them, just trying to sell them something, but make it dramatic and relatable. Okay. So if if our podcast were to do this, it would be you on the phone just saying, Oh my gosh, but like we have our anniversary party coming up, and our merch is 15% off of you. It's the code STH anniversary.

SPEAKER_00

So on the Oh my gosh, and you can come enjoy our specialty cocktails. There's a whole menu. We just want what's best for you. Yeah, it'll be a fun night. It's all networking. You'll be able to talk to a bunch of different amazing minds, and it's gonna just totally benefit you. We want what's best for you. Boom. Sip squad. Boom, boom. And hey, we aren't trying to sleaze anybody into anything or out of anything. But I get it. I love a soft sale. I'm a salesman. Yeah. That's how that's my method. I've never been a pusher. Never been a pusher of things.

SPEAKER_01

That's it. You know what? I nailed it. You nailed both. You got both of them. You did such a I think you're getting a little bit of the hang of this. Or maybe it's just so incredibly tied to tonight's theme. Maybe it's both. That was kind of wild. Maybe it's a little bit of both. Might be a little bit of both.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like I have my on nights and my off nights about it. But I I swear I haven't seen any of these trends. No. Oh, I keep them very well hidden from her. I've been like in the evening, sometimes I will scroll on my Eldins to just to look at funny stuff. Yeah. I guess most of mine is like animal voiceovers and I love. I know. And like cute cute little funny videos. So I really feel like I, you know what do you call it? Like my matrix or whatever. I really like hone it in by only liking the cute stuff. So I just give funny videos or cute animal videos. Or like rescue animal videos. Oh my god. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Sweet babies. Okay, yeah. So I won. You did. You got a perfect score of four points tonight. So good job. Cheers to that. Cheers. What a way to go out. This is our last trend decoder of the season. So that's awesome. You went out with a perfect score. Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

Cheers to that. Cheers to Trendicoder.

SPEAKER_01

And thank you again for bringing you back, Tracy. I know. We love that. Thank you so much, Tracy. You're amazing. We love to listen to our community and their suggestions. So if you have a comment for us, make sure you're leaving that somewhere. It's been a lot of fun. Yeah. Yeah. We definitely want to make this show what you guys think it should be. So keep the content and comments coming. Okay, so now it's time for us to take a look back on season one.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh, I feel like we need to like have like one of those warpy effects happening right now. Yeah. Like like when Raven Simone is.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, and that's so raven. That's what we have. Yeah, so we're tight. That's Raven.

SPEAKER_00

So that's happened.

SPEAKER_01

And then it just starts swirling around her. I love that we both watched that. We're 13 years apart, and we both love That So Raven. That's fantastic. I really did.

SPEAKER_00

That was one of the first concerts I went to was Raven's and Wolf.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, she's so wonderful.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think that's the first one my parents let me go to alone. Amazing.

SPEAKER_01

I used to I used to watch That's So Raven when I was in college. It was good. I loved it.

SPEAKER_00

She was so silly.

SPEAKER_01

She was so silly. Hilarious, honestly.

SPEAKER_00

I got Disney Plus and I watched back on the episodes they had on there. I swear there were way more episodes like in real life. But on there there were only like a few, but maybe I just kept rewatching. Like see that? Probably. Because you know there were commercials and then they'd replay the same one. So I don't know. Oh I know. I just maybe they didn't put them all on there.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not sure. It's probably because we were so young that it just seemed like there was a ton of them. I guess. Yeah, well, that's a look back in and of itself. Yeah, it wasn't like Gilmore Girls. Gilmore Girls was like. Oh my god, so many seasons love Gilmore Girls. Don't even send me into that rabbit hole because it's still my comfort zone.

SPEAKER_00

You said looking back, Jen. I'm always looking back. And we really did. We really did time capsule. That's right. Well, before this, we started watching Gilmore Girls together when we first met. Oh my gosh, that's so true. Yeah.

unknown

That's nice.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It was so nice to have someone to watch that with. Do you know our friend Hannah just started watching it for the first time through this past year? Yeah. Did she like it? I think she was really getting into it. The last I heard, I think we were finding out that Dean was cheating with Rory. I think that's where she was at. And that was like closer to like after we got engaged or something. Oh, yeah. After he was already married and he cheated with Rory. Yeah. Damn, I'm gonna have to go back and watch this stuff too. This is why we're not team Dean. No, I'm Team Luke all the way.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I love Luke. Give me a grumpy man that can give me coffee at any time of day. Fucking right.

SPEAKER_01

I definitely married that. And I love it.

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_01

No. A grumpy man with a backwards hat that gives you coffee. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He wears his hat forward though, most of the time.

SPEAKER_01

He does do that a lot too.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. So thinking back on episode one, it is so funny. Like to think back to that very first episode. We were fresh from the courtyard Marriott having uh spicy beef with Giovanna.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And we were both in such different times of our like of our careers, of our everyday lives back then, of our routines. Sorry, I interrupted you. Were you going on? I was just beating you. No, no, no, no. I'm letting you riff. Yeah, and and I love that our very first episode happened with our and inspired by our very first sponsor, Vue Events. Who could have seen that coming?

SPEAKER_01

I know. That's what, like this is how many months later? A year later. And now they're our sponsor.

SPEAKER_00

They're our first sponsor for two months running now.

SPEAKER_01

It's so freaking amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes. So thank you again, guys.

SPEAKER_01

Shout out, shout out, shout out. We love you, Jamana. We love you, Tony. We love you, the VU events team. You guys are amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you are. And I just love that's full circle. I love it.

SPEAKER_01

It is very full circle.

SPEAKER_00

And I love just like how well hearted and like genuine our meetups have been and continue to be. And like that's that's what we're all about is like really connecting with the people that we connect with. We're not gonna just like throw something out there and be like, oh, maybe one day we'll get to get there.

SPEAKER_01

No, that's not no, we mean it. Yeah, we mean it. We mean it. Yeah. If we want to, if we want to hang out, we say we want to hang out, we mean it.

SPEAKER_00

And we'll put it on the books. That's right. And yeah, so I'm just so proud of everybody. Day one. So we went back to day one. That's crazy. I'm just so proud to see how everybody's come. I know. Even us since day one.

SPEAKER_01

Like our format. Like, oh, and speaking of chair cutters. Didn't like didn't we start with this? Like you guessing the trends wasn't like that part of the very first.

SPEAKER_00

I think that was one of the first within the first month or so we started doing that.

SPEAKER_01

I think it was too. I think this or that came later. We haven't done this or that in a really long time. We do that only with guests now, and it's not a it's not a contest anymore. As of right now, I'm sure we'll bring it back because it's yeah, it's pretty funny.

SPEAKER_00

That with with guests is more of like I think if we have four, I think we should start. If we have like two and two, we should team. Oh, so like they can so like we can be like who knows each other best, and they can be like who knows each other best. We should do that. I also love that idea. But and we can make it more of a competition that way, and it'll be fun.

SPEAKER_01

But I just have loved it. Or we can make it a tiebreaker if there's only three of us. Our guest is the tiebreaker. I'm sure we'll get creative. Or it's across the board. We have like here's the thing season one has inspired so many freaking ideas. We didn't even know this was going to be a podcast that hosted guests, didn't we? We were definitely obviously open to the idea. But when Jenny from Heretic Candles came to us and was like, hey, I'd love to be a guest on your podcast, we're like, okay, let's happen.

SPEAKER_00

You're right. So very great. First shout out to Jenny from Heretic Candles. You were our very first guest. Yes. And we recorded at Harvester Arts. Yep. And it was amazing. And it was so great to have that space. And my gosh, she even brought her own little like premix. What did she make? It was some sort of cider. Oh, yeah, because it was false. Or something. Because it was false. It was a cocktail. And she brought her little candle, really set the vibe. That's all what she's about, guys. She sets the vibe romanticizing your life. She likes to romanticize the moment. She really likes to make every moment intentional. That is like so warming to her brand. I love it. We loved it. And she really set us on fire. She really did. Like she opened. She set us on fire just like her candles.

SPEAKER_01

She sure did. Oh, I love that so much. Cheers to that. Cheers to you, Jenny. Cheers to you. She really set something off here, and we appreciate you.

SPEAKER_00

And you do in a lot of people's lives and in a lot of people's moments. And I I love that you continue to do that for yourself and for all of us.

SPEAKER_01

And she, it's funny because she opened some other doors for us. We, because of her episode, we had Kristen Beale from Harvester Art Fon. Yes. Oh, whatever. That is still our top most downloaded episode of all time. Honestly, amazing woman.

SPEAKER_00

The information her story, everything she did to set up everything she has on a straw is amazing.

SPEAKER_01

It's insane to me. I would love to touch back with her and see where she's at now. I really would too. I know that they're constantly having like really cool events going on all the time. Like she is.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like I need to go into that place every week to sure it changes all the time. Because every time we've gone in, it's different. Yeah. Who is this team that's setting things up and taking them out? It's like they're ghosts in the night. So elusive. Like every time I've gone in there, it's something new. It's amazing. It is crazier. It makes you think and makes you just go, whoa, or inspires you.

SPEAKER_01

It's really neat. Yeah. Well, I it's it's so crazy too because thinking back on the other door that Jenny opened for us, Ballet Wichita. Like I know that I knew Brent personally before this, but the it's just so really fun. I feel like this happens and it's happened so many times in the past year. There's a couple dots that are connected.

SPEAKER_00

It's like and then they just make a constellation. It's like one of those, like in those books, and there's like numbers to dots, and you get one, two, three. Where's the fourth one? Oh, there it is. Now it makes a full shape. Oh, wait, there's Brent. Okay. Oh, there he is. So champagne and caviar bobs. Got it. Oh my god, I have an idea. We should make one of those books.

SPEAKER_01

That would be so much fun.

SPEAKER_00

But like with each one of our people's names.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

And oh my god, and have it be our logo. Write that down.

SPEAKER_01

So we have a notebook out tonight. We're taking notes and we're also remembering things with it.

SPEAKER_00

This is the notebook I first bought. Yes, from the dollar store, don't judge me. It's cute, it has disco balls on it. We love disco balls. And it was a dollar and 25 cents. So the dollar store has become a dollar and some quarters store.

SPEAKER_01

But in this economy, I got gas today. I don't want to talk about it. I know, same. I forgot to stop it. And I was like, oh, I was in a hurry. I was like, okay, I swear. Once it's over $40, we're done.

SPEAKER_00

I was busy texting you while it was pumping, I think. So then I heard it go tank and I looked and I went, crap.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, we're done at 40. Because I don't want to sit here any longer. I'm done.

SPEAKER_00

No. I thought it's better than ramen noodles. I'm just kidding.

SPEAKER_01

Pick your flavor.

SPEAKER_00

I ate my progresso last night. Ramen noodles is still in the cab.

SPEAKER_01

Well, at least we have options. I did. I ordered that in the chair. Okay, now we can't lie. Tonight we had charcuterie, which you will see on our social position.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I was about to say too. Yeah. No, we went out because we are celebrating because it's our last single girl's night. Woohoo! Um, not single. We're not, you know what I mean. We are alone with each other tonight. With no guests. With no guests tonight. We do what we want. We're doing it. We're doing it right. Look, we are in, we didn't even mention where we are. We're yeah, notice a change of scenery.

SPEAKER_01

This is for our YouTube viewers who, by the way, have grown a lot in the last few weeks. Thank you. Hi guys.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, this is studio number two. Yeah, undos. We're here. Raquel's casa. Let us know what you think. Yeah, it's pretty sweet. I'm feeling pretty comfy. I like it. I am too. The charcuterie is amazing. Cheese. There's a lot of cheese. I got a lot of cheese. I kind of went hard on Aldi. And it was a madhouse. So I just went in there and I was like, I want to get out of here. And I grabbed like five cheeses and five meats, and I just left.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, so uh that so Jenny opens the doors to Brent and Anika at Ballet Wichita and that entire freaking community. Yes. Which now I just feel like they're a second home to us. We love them so much. We've seen a lot of their shows. I do, I can acknowledge the fact that we have not seen Brent nor Annika in person in a couple of months now. And I feel like I might be going through some withdrawals.

SPEAKER_00

I'm definitely going through some withdrawals. I think that it has a little bit to do with A, the offseason, B, the season of changing for both of us and our schedules on top of theirs. Yeah. I know Annika's been traveling a lot for the show. She sure has. Yes, Queen, get it. Yeah. And then I know I don't know exactly what Brent's been up to, but I know he's a busy beat.

SPEAKER_01

So busy doing amazing events with his amazing and absolutely stunning decor. Well, you know we're gonna have to catch up with them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. As time goes on in season two. That's right.

SPEAKER_01

Or at our anniversary party. Well, both. Did we mention we have special gifts for our guests? Yes.

SPEAKER_00

So if you are a past guest of ours, we do have special gifts coming for you. Yes, and they are limited edition.

SPEAKER_01

So incredibly limited edition because we are doing the coolest local collaboration with Bella Benita Designs. She is making a design for us. For us. And we're going to be sharing that design in a form of we're not gonna tell what. We didn't say already. No, we did not. In the form of we will not say. In the form of that, which shall not be named.

SPEAKER_00

Should we wait to yeah?

SPEAKER_01

You will not know until you come to the anniversary party to claim your guest.

SPEAKER_00

Claim your prize. Claim your prize. Claim your prize. And then we would love to take photos with you. We would love to dive into a little bit of where you're at now in a little clip with you. Yes, we while you're doing cutesy little clips. Yes. If you are a past listener and then or past guest, sorry, if you're a past guest, if you're a listener, please come. Yeah, we'll do clips with you too. Show up again. A listeners, we're gonna have a special menu that Bubbles is putting together for us. Cocktail. So we have a special cocktail menu put together. Bunch of fun things on there. It'll be a blast. You'll get to see all of the cool stuff that we're releasing. I'm sure we'll have more announcements by then. I'm sure.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we're gonna have a plan for like a plan and format for season two by then, too. Yeah. Exciting things are in the works, guys. I think we might have a monthly home by then. We'll talk about that later. Yes. So excited. Things are changing, things are a mist, and things are wonderful. A muck, amuck. A muck, amuck amuck.

SPEAKER_00

I can't wait for fall.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, I can't either.

SPEAKER_00

I know it's just summer, but I feel like it's been raining so much, and I'm like, I'm I swear it's fall.

SPEAKER_01

I know, and we're literally only a couple of months away from preseason football, guys. I'm feeling it in my freaking bones. Oh my god. Okay, I'm pretty sure we talked about that this time last year.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry, we were going through some of our guests.

SPEAKER_01

We were going through our lovely, lovely guests who we love and have a special gifts for at our anniversary party at Bubbles on July 12th from 2 to 4. Yes. So should I list them off? Yes, let's lift off lift off and list off our lift off takeoff.

SPEAKER_00

You're in space station form for next week, aren't you?

SPEAKER_01

I am for Digital Day 2026. Digital Day 2026.

SPEAKER_00

Thank God Chrissy is one of our past guests. Yes. It's next week, and it is space themed, folks. And that is why I think that little space commander over here is in takeoff thing. Full AI mode. Okay. So we had Jenny. We mentioned her from Heratic Candles. She's an amazing, beautiful, glorious, glowing woman. She obviously strives to lift up everybody that she's around. She's amazing. She says the vibe for an intention for every room she's in. That is our Jenny. And then we've got Kristen Bjall from Harvester Arts. We loved her. She's amazing. The thing she's done. I really liked hearing about the parade that she put on. I know it all started with the parade. It all started with the parade. Which is crazy. Like what a thing. Incredible. What a thing to start with. Starting with a bang. I love it. I love it. I can't wait to touch base with her this next season. Stacey Ward Latin, Hopping Gnome. Did I say that correctly? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Hopping Gnome. So we love her. We've always loved her. We've always been hopping gnomers. Oh my god. The gnomies. Yeah, the gnomies. So we went to her pop-up for the Christmas. And it was beautiful. It was so decked out. It was amazing. Decked the halls, decked the gnomes, decked the everything. We went there with Michael and Michelle Barrett. Oh, and then after that, we went there. Yeah. We recorded there. But then later on in the season, we went there with Michael Michelle and Tim and you and Ben and Amanda. And Ben and Amanda. And Ben and Amanda. Yeah. And we had a hell of a crew. Yeah, and then me. So much fun. And then me. And yeah, we had a ball. We had a blast. We had the halls. We decked the halls. We really rocked it out. And it was so, so pretty. I really hope they do it next year, and I really hope everybody makes the reservations and like sets it, sets time for that because it's a lot of fun. And they do really well with their cocktails. They do really well with all of their special beers. Yeah. I love that. That's fantastic. And then we've got, let's see, Tracy Hoover. Oh, what an intelligent, fucking beautiful woman. Oh my gosh, I know. Pardon my English. But she's such a killer. She is a startup queen. She's a startup queen. Holy cow. Her and her husband started this amazing thing, and she is keeping it alive and being the beautiful, like striving woman that she is. I'm just so glad to have met her. And I really could have talked with her for hours more, honestly. I know.

SPEAKER_01

Like she has so much to say in a fascinating story. She's and she's I just love her energy. I really do too. She was so much fun to do.

SPEAKER_00

She's so warm, but she's spunky, and she's like, she just is so intelligent. She's really got it going on, and she's well-rounded with all of like her travel and everything. I'm really excited to do it. Oh my gosh, I know. I know. Like it's it's honestly.

SPEAKER_01

Like I want to go on a trip with her. I know. It's incredibly, she's incredibly inspiring. Yeah. And I love so part of Digital Day next week is we're doing a workshop. No, well, well, she's kind of gonna have to be there. I think we're doing the second day at Groover Labs. Yes, that's what I saw. Yeah. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

So the second day is at Groover Labs. So hopefully she's there because she's an amazing woman to talk to about all that. Yeah. But no, I'm very excited to meet up with her and hopefully we can have her on again because we went over, I think, on that episode.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no, we went so far over, but it was still another highly downloaded episode.

SPEAKER_00

Like it performed so incredibly well. She's an amazing woman. I loved that. I love that episode. I love the space. I'd really like to even dive deeper to that. As with all of our podcasts. Kaya Mbella from Roaming Spirits. Yes. We had a lot of fun with those gals.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, we still are due for content day with these girls. We said we're gonna do it. We're still gonna do it. We're going to we haven't put on the books yet, so it doesn't count. But we're doing it. But we're going to. Yes. But still, like every time we see each other out in public, we're like, we're doing this. Yeah, we're doing this.

SPEAKER_00

But we both, but we both groups know, like, we both groups know we're grouping and we're busy. It's gonna happen. But it's gonna happen. Maybe this summer.

SPEAKER_01

It would be so fun to happen this summer.

SPEAKER_00

It would be amazing. But no, those girls know what they're doing. They knocked you out of the park. They put tequila in my espresso martini, which I never thought would happen. That's right. They did do that. Yeah. That's a magical thing, honestly. And Bella makes these amazing homemade syrups, which hopefully they'll get on shelves soon. If they ever do girls, please, ladies. Uh call us first. Tell us. We would love it. Yes. We would love to help promote that. Oh, hell yeah, we would. And taste it. They're so just so they use like, yeah, the natural fruits, the natural herbs, everything to make her own syrups. Heck yes. Love that. Definitely choose them for your events. And then, of course, the lovely Bretton Annika from Ballet ICT. Ballet Witch Shaw.

SPEAKER_01

We love you, Ballet Witch Thaw. We love you. We love you. We love you.

SPEAKER_00

We love you. And all of the people. Gosh, that includes our community, Sandra. Yes. She's amazing. We love connecting with all of you guys. We love to involve us in all of your events. This is, I think that this is maybe what's made me feel like we've had even more guests than we have, is because our ballet witchhaw events have expanded to like I think we went to like four or five events. We did go to so many ballet witch taw events. That were ballet witch.

SPEAKER_01

And so now like after party or after events. Exactly. And so now like we we know the ballerinas, we know the director or like the board of directors. We know the community. Yes. The parents. Like, oh my gosh, I love it so much. It gives me goosebumps. I do too.

SPEAKER_00

I think I think it's beautiful. And I love watching how it all comes together and everyone's working together just to make it so fun and beautiful and really exciting.

SPEAKER_01

And kind of funny too. Yeah. There's always those hidden comedic moments that I just I'm so excited to see what Alice in Wonderland this summer is their traveling tour is gonna be like. I saw some of their promo today, and I'm like, of course, Heidi is her. I can't believe that's so exciting.

SPEAKER_00

You know, we've loved that. We've loved that so much. So I can't wait to have both of them on. Brent and Annika, whether Annika, whether together or separate. And maybe we can even have I would love to have Sandra. Sandra on Sandra, you know, we've we've I've loved talking with her after some of the events. Like she's wonderful. Such an amazing story. She has a hell of a story too. She sure does. She's just like she's gone through and she's made amazing moves in all the different cities she's lived in. It sounds like I'm really excited to hear more about that. Um, and I think you guys would be too. And then we've got Carrie from Happy Camper Hat Company. You know, we had fun with that episode.

SPEAKER_01

That was such an interactive situation. Yeah. Also, by the way, Carrie, I cannot wait to swart my Chiefs hat this season. I'm so so so excited.

SPEAKER_00

I forgot about your Chiefs hat.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, it is fucking baller, and I can't wait to be wearing it all the time.

SPEAKER_00

I made my whiskey tingle fox strat. I definitely rocked it in the sun the other day. But now that it's getting sunnier and I just need more lake days so I can rock it. Um there you go.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. With your margarita thing from Riverfest. You and that hat with your margarita thing from Riverfest. Oh my god, it does. That is a fucking vibe.

SPEAKER_00

Remind me of that. Oh, I will. But also but also I need a weekend. Yeah, you do. On the lake for that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Okay, we'll get there, guys. I promise. If not, I'll go in my backyard by the pond and do it. All right. And then Giovanna Vu from Vue Events, obviously, woo woo-woo! Our lovely sponsor and our first ever inspiration to have our first episode with the spray the savvy bees. We're going circling back to you. So again, shout out to you, shout out to Tony, DJ Panda, shout out to your team at Vue Events.

SPEAKER_01

It's the idea factory. Yes. I do love doing this. We love working with you guys. Also, by the way. Keeping it natural. Keeping it natural. By the way, we're working with Voo Events for our anniversary party. So you know there's gonna be all kinds of fun little details.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, they always kill it. Yes, they do. So we love you guys. We love you guys. We talk about you all the time, and we'll continue to talk about you all the time. Because we love you. Yes. And because you're amazing. Well, yeah. Yeah. And then Ghost Girl. Ghost Girl! Ghost Girl. Oh my god, yes. Why do I feel like that was so forever ago? It wasn't even that long ago. No. But yeah, we did that at Oddfellow. Oddfellow. And it was so incredible to hear all the cool things that she had going on. Oh my god. Yeah, she's gonna be crushing it. I can't wait to see what she's doing next year. I know. I would love to know more. I would love to know.

SPEAKER_01

We need a touch base with Ghost Girl.

SPEAKER_00

Touch, touch, beep, beep. Calling Batman. I feel like we need to put like a beam in the sky. With our little wine microphone. I know Ghost Girl was amazing. I love it. She related to us so much. We related to her so much. And like all of the different like social aspects, all of the different like creative aspects of how like we want to share, but we don't know how much, but we have to find our own way to do it. And I think that's a good idea.

SPEAKER_01

Who was inspiring her too? Like it was it was so cool to hear like how she was inspired and who was inspiring her and what that made her, like how that impacted her entire and just like us, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

She didn't realize she could grow until she realized, okay, I need to bring out a shell and ask for help and ask and tell them and be open about my vulnerability. And then they came and they flooded in. And that's what you guys did for us. And so true. We feel the same way, ghost girl. We feel the same way, guys. Like you guys flood in when we open up in our vulnerable bottle, like not in this vulnerable, you know what I mean.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, there's a lot of vulnerability to it, honestly.

SPEAKER_00

We're open and honest about where we're at, and then you guys come in and you just like hype us up and you give us all of the feedback we need, and we're all here to support each other, and that's how we build an amazing pyramid. That's right. So I love that. Okay, and then we've got Jamie.

SPEAKER_01

Jamie Seebo from Black Panzer United, and of course, Home Two Suites. We had so much fun getting to know you. That was cool, and your mission and all the cool things that you had going on. I really enjoyed that episode. I did too. I thought that was so fun. I think we could have kept talking about it. We really could. She had a lot of incredible events lined up. Yes. From Wind Surge events to Bitchie Bingo to God knows what else. Like I know there was like cowboy, like, yeah, there were so many things. It was incredible. There were so many things. And her whole vibe, like this girl is not quitting ever.

SPEAKER_00

I had just started a new role, so I felt so terrible. I wasn't able to go to that many of them at all. But I was like, I I was keep seeing them put through go through my reel, and I was like, foam. FOMO FOMO every time. So I really wanted to be there. Jamie.

SPEAKER_01

No, she was telling it about at Wine About Cancer. I know that she won like this really big prize at Wine About Cancer. It was really cool to see it, to see that happen and to hang out with her. Why? Oh my god. Very cool. She's such a queen.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh. I know no. I had a lot of fun chatting with her. I really enjoyed her space that they allowed us to use. Oh, yeah, at home two sweets. That was amazing in Delaney. Yeah, that was really nice. I can't wait to catch up with her too and see where she's at this year. This coming next season. Yeah, I really can't.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh. She was fun. How was that already like two months ago? And how funny is that too? What a small world. Like I just really is.

SPEAKER_00

Everyone knows everybody, but I don't know from when. What's like ways back. I know at least 2017. Oh my gosh. But no, I can't wait to catch up with her. She's such an amazing woman. Yes. I really like the everything that she's all about. I really like how her story personally tied to what her journey is. Now, I think everyone should follow her. Jennifer Short. Woo! Color therapy and sovereign inhale. Thank you again. I'm still loving my haircut. Yes. I am. It's still falling practical.

SPEAKER_01

I'm a little due.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you are. I need a beginning of it. You're the one that sent me the schedule invite. Go get you on there, girl. I will. I will.

SPEAKER_01

Jennifer, I'm coming for you.

SPEAKER_00

I barely had to style it at all. I just braided my hair on the overgrown, just damaged hair. And she just looks so freaking. And she knows what I do with it. And then she just did boom. And then it just worked. She just did boom. She just did boom. With your hair. It's crazy. She can do color too. I just have never done it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, she is a queen of color. Let me tell her, she colors you. Yeah, yeah. Oh my gosh. So for my wedding, we did rose gold and she fucking nailed it.

SPEAKER_00

Jennifer that did your head for your wedding.

SPEAKER_01

She is, yes. And then she put those cute little pearl details up in there. Oh my gosh. I love it. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

I love her. She's amazing. Book with her, book with anybody that works in her salon. That's right. She wouldn't put anybody in there she doesn't trust. I love it. And it's very easy to book. I I was at I was very fortunate. I was able to get in there within a week's notice before I was going to an event. And so I was very happy, but I didn't expect that, but that was awesome.

SPEAKER_01

I know it. She's so she's got that, and then she's got her awesome new business with Sovereign Inhale. So fun to hear all about her new journey with that. I know I really want to see where she's at next season with these. Yeah, I really want to revisit. I think it would be so much fun. Also, just any excuse to get recorded her ever again.

SPEAKER_00

So much funny excuse to do like an inhale class. I don't know how I would do in it. Wouldn't that be a fun episode to like demonstrate? I feel like I'd annoy her or something like that. I don't think you would ever annoy Jay. Probably not. She's so so good. But I feel like I'd be like, she'd be like, maybe you're gonna need to go in a different room.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think you'd be right back. You're throwing off the room. It's like let us book just the three of us and so that. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I think that would be really cool. But anyway.

SPEAKER_01

I think it'd be pretty fucking cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're gonna have to have all of our past guests back. And then our last guest that we had was Chrissy Buck.

SPEAKER_01

Chrissy Buck, woohoo! We love you, Chrissy Buck. The director of Shockstar from W Shoe Tech. Yes. Love You, Queen. Oh my gosh. Speaking of digital day is next week, June 18th and 19th. Like things are getting effing real, guys. What is it? Space Commander? It's mission control. Space Commander. Mission Control, Digital Day, 2026. It's a completely all the the entire topic of the whole event is AI. It's going to be incredible. We have world-renowned speakers from all over the country coming to speak and teach us. And I just cannot believe it's already next week. I'm so excited.

SPEAKER_00

I can't wait. I really, really want to talk. I'm actually gonna have a talk with some people.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you should.

SPEAKER_00

It's gonna be a big because they never responded to my email. So I'm gonna just be like, hello.

SPEAKER_01

Hey there! Oh, it's so fun because so with this event, Chrissy. So Chrissy is the chair of Digital Wichita, and I am the vice chair of Digital Wichita. And us, we and our team at Digital Wichita are putting on Digital Day 2026. And it's so fun because there are people on our list of guests that are also involved in this event. Yeah. And she is our events person. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

So bring your energy because you know she's gonna make it a part.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no, there's oh, also, I know Carrie from Happy Camper is gonna be there and bring in some awesome. Yes, she is. DJ Panda's gonna be our DJ.

SPEAKER_00

I think she has to be.

SPEAKER_01

I think she's trying to do something of the sort. NASA-esque? Uh well, you know, space mission-esque. DJ Panda is our official DJ for that day. Our official meetup for our official pre-event meetup is at the Hopping Gnome. And our speaker dinner is at the depot where we hosted Kaya and Bella. So that's gonna be really cool. But no, I I think the whole event is gonna be fantastic. Chris is a freaking boss for leading us on this incredible venture. I cannot believe that it's a good idea.

SPEAKER_00

We had an amazing recording, Sash. She was very informative. I really enjoyed our talk. We got a lot of great content to support the event coming up, too, for that. We learned how to use Claude to make a grocery list. Yeah, what the hell? That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Excuse me, how's my we've had a lot of incredible guests in season one? Yeah. But you know what? This podcast is really brought together by our guests, by our sponsors, and of course, we cannot forget about our fantastic community, our listeners, the Sip Squad.

SPEAKER_00

The Sip Squad! The Sip Squad. We cheers to you!

SPEAKER_01

You guys are amazing! You guys make all of this possible, you make us keep wanting to do everything that we're doing. You give us the fantastic ideas like bringing back trend decoder and where to go for coffee breaks, yes, and what your favorite lattes are, and all the things like that. We love you guys. We love all of your input, we love all of your fun ideas, we love making your memories our memories. And so cheers to our Sip Squad. You guys are fantastic, and I'm excited to see this community grow in season two. I think it's gonna be so much fun to see what happens. I am too.

SPEAKER_00

I want to see more like juice benders, I want to see more of lucha people, healthy things. I want to see all the things. Yeah, I know Roman Spirits does a lot of mocktails too. I know. I just I want to see more of a variety. So come on, guys, feed us all this. Yes, come be our guest. Come give us recipes, give us ideas, give us some more stuff because this is the time that we're growing. We're gonna take a couple weeks to regroup. Yeah, and reset for the next season. So can give you guys the best version of us that we have yet to offer.

SPEAKER_01

And the cool thing is that this is not our last episode of season one. We have one more episode. We do have one on last of season one for so she is from Planted Tea Shop. And speaking of healthier options, oh yes, yeah. So we're gonna we're gonna be drinking some delicious tea in episode 50. Yeah. Tea for 50.

SPEAKER_00

Get ready for the tea for season two.

SPEAKER_01

That's having right. Oh my gosh, just wait. Uh, we're gonna be spilling all of it.

SPEAKER_00

And um spilling all the tea. Spilling all of it and hopefully drinking some more. Hopefully drinking most of it.

SPEAKER_01

That's right. I just she said she's she's got iced options for us since it's so freaking hot out right now. So I'm really excited about that. So we're really excited to meet with her next week. But before that, we have one more segment for episode 49 before we sign off. And that is to talk about our hits different segment. When tonight's song is Long Live from Taylor's Speak Now album. So was today the first time you'd ever heard Long Live by Taylor Swift? Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yes. So I listened to it for the first time today. Yes. I like it. I think um it seems like it's a kind of like young innocent romance. I feel like this is what I say to a lot of Taylor songs, but it is that's what it comes off as to me, is like a young, innocent romance and with no hard feelings. I didn't really get any glimpse of any hard feelings in the song, and I think that's great. And I liked it for a lot of reasons. It resonated with me within friendships, relationships, past memories, even like family, like not like the you know, some lyrics more than others. Yeah, obviously. But as far as like long live, I think after I get past like in any, even if it's like a painful breakup or something, after I get past that part, I always look back on something and say, like, you know what, like that was a beautiful feeling. That's why I do say yes to love so many times, is because I do want to be like, yes, I love this feeling. I want to always live in this moment, I want to experience this moment, and I always do want the best for the people that I do choose to love, no matter what. And I also want the best for the people's families that I choose to love, whether it be their kids, whether it be their mom or dad, like their families, everything, anybody that I meet that's related to that person, like I want the best for them. And it made me kind of feel like that a lot when she said certain lines of the song that kind of related. She's like, if you ever have kids and like I want you to know that like I I'm rooting for them, basically, is kind of what she was saying. And I feel that. Like I feel that with a lot of it. Like, if I were to look back on my first relationship ever in high school, hell yeah. Like, I don't have any hard feelings out. Maybe back then I was sad, but I don't remember that now. Like, I I want the best. Like, I remember those fun times, I remember the beauty of those moments, and I think that that's a safe, awesome, warm place that you can get and that you can focus on. You can't do it right there in the moment, obviously. Yeah, but looking back at that's like kind of the feeling I would like to have with all past relationships, whether it be a friend, whether it be a boyfriend, whether it be a girlfriend, whatever. I think those are all moments you should look back on with those things, like hey, long live that moment, long live that feeling, but not love, long live our relationship necessarily, you know. Sure, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I think that's totally fair.

SPEAKER_00

But you should never give up on that feeling. Yeah. Even if it did go sour with that person. I think that's kind of how I've chosen to live my life. So I really appreciated that she took this song in like a really positive aspect in that mean, in like that, you know, manner, if that makes sense. That makes that sense. I think that's so incredibly m healthy and rational, you know. I think that's kind of how I took it for the most part. And I kind of thought, like, I could, like I said, I could think about that with my you know, my first relationship I ever had in high school that was like now I look back and I'm like, hell yeah, I hope he's doing great, like I hope his family's doing great, I hope his kids are doing great, like I want the best for him and all his family and everybody. You know, if I ever were to see him in pro public, I'd be like, oh wow, look at them. Shine on, shine on, buddy. Like, and no, nothing weird, you know. That's the goal. Yeah, that's the goal. That's what you want. If you have ever said goodbye to anybody, that that'd be ideal. Of course, there are some where you're like, oh, I still fucking hit you. But I mean, but I also still choose to have that part that is like, shine on. I want the best for you. Yeah. And I genuinely mean it. For those that I'm like, fuck you. For some of them. There's always gonna be the best. But that's not what I got out of this song. Absolutely not. But I actually think about that a lot too. It kind of again had that nostalgia feeling. Oh, yeah. So I got that with again, like with past relationships, this nostalgia of just being young, not even necessarily being in that relationship, but just being young and running around freely with somebody, and like she mentions fighting dragons together a lot or magic and fighting magic dragons or something like that. And I think that's just amazingly fun. You know, I've always been a whimsy kind of gal. Yep. So I love that idea, and I love that. I think that I have a lot of that with even friends that I knew that I had that were kind of just for the moment or for the season. Yeah. Um, that faded out. I still, whenever I think of them, I don't have any ill feelings. I just think that was so fun. We ran through the fields together, we fought dragons, we experienced these things, we had crazy laughs, we we I may have cried, we saw the thunder, we saw the sunrise, you know, we did the things, and we're good. Even if we don't talk anymore. I think that's cool. And then thinking about it too, where you and I are at, it made me feel like look at all of the things we've been through, and we're still together. Oh, okay. And we fought the dragons. Long live us. Long live us. Long live so this happened. Long live Jen and Rachel. I think so. I know so. Oh, yeah, for sure. I don't doubt that at all. So that's my interpretation.

SPEAKER_01

But did you justice? I think you did a great job. So I love this song so much. This is a song, and I know. Yeah, you said you were tearing up. Okay. Yeah, I know. Like you no, it's okay. I think you'll understand this a little more once I explain. Okay. That's why we do this segment.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly, because we take it so different.

SPEAKER_01

So the part of the beauty of this segment is I know a lot of the lore behind the songs that Rachel doesn't necessarily know. So this is the first time that she's hearing this song. Whereas this is a song that I've known for many years, and as a Swifty, which you don't even have to do the clothes. I no, I can't even I can't even air quote that. We may as well just as a complete and solid Swifty. I've got to give you a crown that just when we do this segment. Um, I I do I know I love the lore behind this song. Give it to me. So this is a love song to her fans. Yeah, that she wrote to her fans. That makes sense. Um, you know, to the knights of the full stadiums for her very first time feeling that feeling of being on stage in front of so many people and hearing people, you know, scream her name and wow, and crazy. Holding up the trophy for her town. There's so many things to this song that like now, if you think about it, like she this was on her second album, and the the only version that I have of this song on my phone is the live version from the first time she sang it in concert.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and see, I listened to just like the one that I think was redone.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, the Taylor's version. Yeah, yeah, that was just redone a few years ago. The only song, the only time I've ever heard it is live, and then of course on the Eras Tour many times because I've watched the Earestour final show so many times. How many, Jen? I don't even know. Okay. I know it's at least two. Many more than that. I don't think came out like last year, uh, a couple years ago, but then they also did the final show, which came out a few months ago, and then they have the documentary, which I love to rewatch and cry to. But I know I know. I'm laughing for you. Okay, yes. So, but yeah, so this is a love song to her fans. I love that. I there's so many fun chiefs. Like, she didn't know this back when she wrote this song. This is a really long decade before she ever got with Travis Kelsey. But I love that she says something about the kingdom in that song because you know, we know ourselves as Chiefs Kingdom, right? Oh Chief's Kingdom. Okay, I there's so many parts of this song, but then it's like when you pass the pictures around, if your children ask about, you know, pointed the pictures, please tell them my name. That's the part that I'm always like stop it. Yeah, but you know, when I think about that, like I like I'm not even gonna have to tell my kids your name because anytime I pointed a picture of Rachel, they know Rachel, they love Aunt Rachel. But I picked the song for this episode specifically for our sip squad and for our community because you guys have gotten us where we are.

SPEAKER_00

That makes sense. So shout out to you for fighting magic dragons with us.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, that's right. And for like we could have never gotten on the main stage at Riverfest without you guys. That's insane to even think about. You guys are our kingdom, you're our kingdom, and so long live the Sip Squad.

SPEAKER_00

Long live the Sip Squad. Long live so this happened. Long live us.

SPEAKER_01

Woo! I love it so much. So, yes, so yeah, there it is. I love that. I do too. Like that is a yeah, so that's why I get really emotional on that side.

SPEAKER_00

Why I felt like it was so well-rounded because I was like, I feel like I could relate this. It's just all good vibes. I feel like I could relate this to like just wanting the best for everybody. Yeah. Whether it's friend, whether it's past foe, whether it's like, you know, an ex, whether it's a family member, and it felt nostalgic and it felt like overwhelmingly just like that's how I want to live with everybody I encounter. It's like I hope the best for you. And and when people are feeding that back to you, that's what really helps you succeed. It really is. And I think that that's like kind of the mode that everyone should live in, just in everyday life. Is he we're all out here struggling? That's so true. Can we all just like hope for one another?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that'd be amazing. That would be great. So let's all do that. Okay. Well, I'm I'm sure that is something that we can absolutely charge our Sip Squad with because they're fantastic people, they're uplifting people, they are motivating people, and yay. And we have a lot to look forward to with you guys. So long live the Sip Squad. Love the Sub Squad! Love the Sip Squad! Woo! Um, okay, so we have a lot to look forward to going forward in season two, but we still have one more episode, which will be episode 50 of season one with Nickela from Planted, the pop-up tea shop. And so we will be hanging out with her next week in Revolucia. Yes. So excited to meet her. I think we're gonna have an incredible discussion while we sip some tea and spill the tea. I'm excited to sip tea, spill tea, all the tea. I know she has an event that she's promoting, which will be on July 11th. Oh, the day before our party. And it will be just Catty Cornered Bubbles at the old espresso to go go from 3 to 7 p.m. on July 11th. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

3 to 7 p.m. on July 11th.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we'll be talking all about that on episode 50. So make sure you're listening up next week when we hang out with her. It's gonna be cool. I love that we're recording at Revolution. I know we haven't recorded there yet. We have not. I think that we've been there quite a few times. We sure have. I think that's gonna be a really cool setup.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm excited to see what the setup's like in the little shop. I'm really pumped. Um, I guess we're recording in a gallery of it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, in an art gallery. So, you know, that's always fun. Yeah, we love to kind of dig those. Of course, wonderful shows like this cannot happen without wonderful sponsors. So we have to give another thank you to Vu Event, Javon and her amazing team.

SPEAKER_00

We love you. We love you. Amazing. Thank you so much. You guys are amazing. We really appreciate everything you do. We appreciate all the outreach you give us, all the support you give us. You guys are amazing. You always have our back, and we love you so much.

SPEAKER_01

And don't forget, on July 12th, we have our anniversary party from two to four at Bubbles. A lot of cool little treats coming up because you know, we have VU events sponsoring that party and helping us plan. We have a really cool collab with Bella Bonita Designs that we're very excited about. Yes, that party is called Unhinged, Uncorked and Bubbling Over. So that means that our uncorked and slightly unhinged merch is now 15% off using the code STH Anniversary through July 31st. So make sure you grab some of that and wear it to the party because I know I'll be wearing it. So yeah. I know.

SPEAKER_00

I'm excited. I'm so excited. We have a lot of fun things coming up. I want you guys to come to the party with all the ideas and all of the fun and all the things.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_00
